Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Billie-Jo Sauvron is an advanced practice clinical nurse practitioner, specializing in psychiatry and mental health. With more than two decades of experience in psychiatric nursing before becoming an APRN, Billie-Jo brings a rare depth of clinical expertise and composure to every patient encounter. Having worked with some of Connecticut’s most complex cases, she is widely respected for her exceptional interpersonal skills and unwavering reliability—qualities that allow patients to feel both understood and securely guided in their care. She has enjoyed success at several institutions in multiple roles. Her years working in psychiatric healthcare have afforded her intuition and experience not often encountered in the field. This translates to clinical decision-making and prescribing abilities that exceed those of her peers. Her nature is caring and therapeutic and most patients reflect on finding a near instant connection.
I prefer an approach to medicine that moves beyond rushed, transactional visits, mass-produced online providers, and rigid adherence to algorithms or policy. Hearing your story matters more than frantically filling an electronic record without ever looking up from the screen. You are a person, not a diagnosis or a billing code. My goal is to understand where you’ve been, where you are now, and—together—create a plan to help you get where you want to be.
Quality over quantity is my emphasis. I maintain a small panel to provide you with more time per visit, ensuring you won't face a busy waiting room or long delays for an appointments. My approach is highly confidential and nonjudgmental, integrating evidence-based medicine with openness to nontraditional strategies. I support this model by minimizing third-party constraints such as insurance requirements, institutional pressures, and commercially driven, often misguided influences within the pharmaceutical industry.
Although I do not engage directly with insurance companies I can provide a "superbill" that can be submitted for out of network reimbursement by your plan.
